I now have the D7000 which I'm very happy with because it's ok for video and takes a wider range of lenses but to be honest - I'd prefer the D3200 sensor in it (I know that is likely to be a very unpopular thing to say). The D3200 also handles white balance much better & has upgraded video functions.

I think those who champion the D3200 are right to do so - if I were starting again, I'd go down that route and just buy lenses with autofocus motors.
