You can't beat direct, easy interaction with the fundamental parameters that make up good photography: aperture, shutter speed, exposure, etc.  That's something I think Fuji has done very well. I spent my first years in digital photography (never shot film) with several Nikon 'D' series cameras.  I usually shot full auto motor drive 'spray and pray'.  It wasn't until I got my X100 and then X Pro1 that I finally got it.  I understood the fundamentals before, but having missed the film experience the Fuji cameras really put them front and center in my creative process.  I was shooting with computers. Now I shoot manual (though usually with AF) and think more about what I'm shooting.
