In most ways, modern Canon bodies beat it. The latest bodies like the 5d2 and 5d3 provide higher resolution with better noise and DR. Even the budget T4i and the 7d beat it in virtually every way. It's not a bad camera considering what they go for now....but the latest bodies are better in build, screen, speed, accuracy, resolution, noise, DR, etc, etc.
