Its a bit frustrating that Nikon is not releasing updates on a more regular basis to address "issues" that arise or to add additional functionality. It would seem to be a relatively simple process to 'continuously improve' functionality based on firmware logic code.

We can assume that any firmware updates for the CAM3500 in the D4 would easily be back-ported to the D800/E so maybe ....
