Anyone used this ND vari filter? Genus brand

I read about this brand in a review of several filters.  A decent price about $116 for a 77mm that goes from 2-8 stops.   I know there are known better ones, but they are out of my budget.

I wonder if this is any good or astick with a Hoya NDx8?

Or other?
