Nikon D800! Best camera in the world!

Well congrats on your new camera. I hope you enjoy it and it serves you well. One thing to keep in mind is that not all people are using the camera the way you are and some do have certain expectations that a new camera must meet. Like a working AF system or 10 pin connector or maybe a body that is not in need of a wet cleaning every 200 shots. BTW, this may be a hobby to you but some people have higher standards and need to be able to count on the equipment to work a certain way. You may not be doing critical work and that is why your issues are non-issues but some people are not in the same boat as you. It is not a "tiresome HOBBY" to me. We as users also come to these forums for tech help and to discuss issues and seek advice. Nikon is silent about any issues and have trained the vendors to regurgitate the company line which ends with the end user left in the dark and they need help. I also think your post seems a bit like a new kid with his new bike. I think the d800 is an amazing camera but nikon has dropped the ball on quality control as of late and this has been noted by many reputable sources. BTW, I have been shooting nikon and doing weddings since the 90's so this stuff is nothing new to me. I think people should not go looking for faults but AF and sensor QC issues are not small things that can be ignored. Nikon will only correct things when the consumers stop buying the product and ignoring quality control issues on a $2,000-$3,000 camera just cause it is new and fancy is not the best way to get Nikon to own up and start communicating with the customer.
