Re: Magna Color cast using Canon Piixma Pro9500 MkII

Unfortunately this problem still exists. It's now two years after this thread was started and I for one still have this problem. In my case letting the printer apply an ICC profile gives me a mild (but highly problematic) magenta cast and letting LR or PS apply the profile gives a horrendous magenta cast and a dark print. One posted solution was to use the advanced tab in the printer properties window to choose a Canon/RAW print engine instead of the winprint/RAW engine (mine was set to winprint for the XPS mode and Canon for the standard mode). But, this did not help me. I've tried the other work-arounds found here and elsewhere to no avail. Adjusting the colors in the print drivers works, but is a rather crude fix that is not very precise. Canon has not been very helpful either. This problem was with me in Win 7 and continues in Win 8. I sure hope somebody gets a handle on it while I can still by ink for the Pro9500 MkII.
