Panny 100-300 Mega OIS panning

Hi,
Some cameras with image stabilization have different settings for the IS when shooting a still shot vs. when horizontal panning (e,g, the OM-D has IS1 and IS2). If I'm using the Oly 100-300M4/3 lens on a camera with the IS turned off, should I also leave the MegaOIS on the lens turned off when panning, or should I leave it on like I would for a stationary subject at low shutter speeds?
