Crop factor and competeting systems

Probably due to all the new excellent AF glass introduced by Oly and Panny (+others) recently.

Assuming this is the case, maybe it is about the crop factor issue and folks hooked into vintage lenses have chosen cameras with a smaller crop factor as the wider lenses will still be moderately useful/practical.
