Definitely had better not. Lose my colors, EVF, articulated LCD, focus limiter, A-mount, IBIS, and numerous other features for a bigger "MP" number, a number of potential defects, and lenses that color tinge the already yellowish images? No thanks. I forgot to add losing the comfortable, ergonomic grip and handling for an unwieldy, confusing to operate brick.

I realize that was sarcasm, at least I hope so. ;p

Yes it was intended to be sarcasm! I am a devout Sony Fanboy, and like Sony for the same reasons you listed above,

Rock on!

There have been some reports of a little hidden magic in the update.  Some corresponding Minolta lenses work with AF-D, and the startup time is a bit shorter now.  There are even some reports of improved RAW high ISO noise handling, as if it weren't impressive already.
