Re: "24-70 is the most used but least useful"

Tried the Nikon 24-70 2.8 on my D800 once.  Ill take the RX1 any day.  That was a beast to carry around. Yes it is a great focal length and the best for a zoom in my opinion but its a huge piece of glass on a full frame and thats at 2.8.  I wonder what it or a 2.0 version would look like on the rx1 lol. Sure a DSLR with an RX100 is a great combo for many people but I love the IQ and FF/lens of the RX1 so maybe all 3 are good for some people.

You will never get an RX1 with a zoom lens as fast and sharp as the 35mm that is on there now due to the physics of optics without making some other sacrifice such as sizes slower apeture etc.

At the end of the day get what works best for you.  If everyone likes the same style/camera we would have very few choices. These are all just opinions anyway.

You are not typical as I do not think most would think that the 24-70 range is "least useful"!

I can't be alone as it is one of the most popular focal lengths for ALL the camera makers! Boy are they screwing up!

Anyway, relax. You are getting stressed. Just enjoy your "two step process" and be happy! I have no wish to argue with you.
