I wouldn't even try to convince you. After all what would be the point? If you prefer some other tool then nothing wrong with that at all. I like the RX1 myself because 4 things bother me about SLRs.

1) I dislike worrying about getting the sensor dusty when changing lenses.

2) I dislike worrying about focus micro adjust

3) I dislike the weight of a SLR + lenses

4) I dislike the higher cost of the SLR system. I can't just buy a body and a 35mm prime. If I picked up another D800 or 5D3 or a D3S I would be forever driven to get a 24-70, then a 70-200, then a WA zoom, them I would start picking up more primes, and eventually I would have a $10k+ kit taking up 2 bags. The RX1 keeps me under control. In fact the RX1 + a RX100 for when I need a little zoom would be an ideal combo.
