5d iii lens correction

In Rockwell's review of the 5D III he says you can use the EOS utility software to install some lens data that will allow the camera to correct for light falloff and color fringing:

I use Photoshop to process my pix and it also has a lens correction feature.
Should I use just one of these methods? Both? Anyone with experience with the Canon method?
