That's precisely what concerns me the most.

I genuinely have a blast using Photoshop at times, but when I look at the images I've taken over the years that I've reacted to the strongest and the ones that have garnered the most interest from others, they're by and large the ones that came practically straight out of the camera and plopped on the net.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for what a true pro can do with PP, but at some point it's no longer the same hobby.

As for lazy, of course it's lazy, lazy like a fox. As much fun as photomanipulation can be, I tend to think that most photographers would rather spend the time learning and using their equipment. Now, I might well be wrong about that. I haven't asked all of them about it, but I do believe that there's still a significant number of us out there that focus on doing as much as possible in camera.

If so much can be done with Photoshop, why bother spending big bucks on high end cameras & lenses? Buy a cheapo click away without thinking & fix it all in PP???
