Mr. Weigl, I don't recall having seen Chris' posts here, but I'm sort of a come-and-go member, so perhaps he posted when I wasn't active. I just spent some time at his website, however, and it's obvious your son was a photographer of great passion, depth and talent, who had accomplished a tremendous amount with his camera in his short life.

Some believe that those who create, portray and preserve the wonders and beauty in life truly have a higher calling, and that perhaps some of them do it so well, so quickly, they are "promoted" sooner than the rest of us. I grieve for your loss and know there will always be a hole in your heart, but celebrate the legacy Christopher left behind, and feel perhaps he was called to a higher purpose, having already achieved so much on Earth.
