Theoretical concepts
In reply to liquid stereo, 3 months ago
We all have anecdotal "evidence" as to why one product is superior to another. If you like your camera then use it happily and proudly. However that is not what this is about. This discussion is about SNR - signal to noise ratio.

And how does SNR ratio translate in your pics? Don't take those concepts too important. Arguing about lab test results and marketing claims is a bit silly, they don't have much meaning in real life shooting.
What are your findings with the X-E1 or X-Pro 1 in high ISO? Do you have any own findings? Can you show pics made in crappy light and high ISO? How do they look next to d700 or Canon 5d pics? I have made them with all cameras mentioned above, and I know where to put the X-E1 and what ISOs to use  comfortably without worrying about IQ.
In real life pics are made with real cameras, not with theoretical lab measurings. Big difference.
I trust the average of 50 user reports much more than lab results. And specially I know my own results. I could even show them - what about your's?
