It's not information, it's noise.

If I sent you a morse code message then started randomly inserting extra dots and dashes and turned the signal into gibberish that wasn't even letters, would you still call it a message?

Note:

Part of this discussion was meant to try and explore whether this noise had any useful benefit into tricking the eye into thinking it was real detail. And if so, whether other kinds of noise could do a similar task.  You have taken it way off topic with this stuff about whether the Nyquist limit actually exists and we are back into Foveon vs the world territory (alternatively: "I'm right, you're wrong) and now we are all at it hammer and tongs as usual.

I'd like to pull the plug on the OT debate and get back to the original questions.
