Firstly, does nobody realize that DPRs SD1M test shot is not their finest effort? Or, could it be that the SD1M and lens were not the pick of the production line? Take a look at this from the actual file:

It's the top of that set of converging lines some people are agonizing over! If I saw that on one of my test shots, I would look no further down.

Even at 3000 lpm or whatever "30" means on the chart, the CA is totally messing up the image, 9 lines are almost swamped!

Luminance profile at 30 which is "below Nyquist", ennit?

And in case there's any doubt on the matter, here's the MTF from a slant edge test (per ISO):

Seems to be quite a problem the red . . .

The edge spread is OKish but for the CA which is no fun at all:

The processing in terms of sharpening could most certainly have been better!

And so to the line spread:

As can be seen the colors are all over the shop, bearing out the first image in this post. Can we stop using DPRs SD1M resolution tests as examples in this thread? Please?
