Focus Peaking would be nice But.....

It is not the panacea of foolproof manual focusing and focus pulling.  It is an aid, and from the times I have used it on Sony camera's there are some subjects, especially low contrast subjects, that it fails on.

I have found it is obvious on sharp high contrast subjects but can fail completely on a low contrast face, eyelashes etc in flat light,, which to me is a lot of the time you would be looking for it to work?

Even without focus peaking it kills the other camera's mentioned here, that do have focus peaking, for video in all the other important area's, so for me its not a deal breaker. Panasonic flew in Phillip Bloom and Vitaly to advise them what was important to include in the GH3 development, this is unprecedented for a consumer camera, so maybe they didn't prioritise this, and or pana really do have an issue enabling it in their hardware?
