I agree that the 100-300 on a GF3 is less than ideal, especially in the bright sun, especially with no viewfinder.  You may also want to consider a GH1 or even the G3 (grip aside).  Remember to stay away from the budget G10 which has key items spec'd lower than the other G cameras.
