"AF lock only" mustn´t have anything to do with exposure

If you are using Matrix Metering, the area under the AF box will be considered to medium value (18% grey) and this weighs more heavily on exposure calculation with the D4 and D800 than on previous models. Since exposure is not locked when you recompose, exposure is recalculated with the new AF spot.

No, mustn´t have anything to do with this, even tried it this minute with blocking an area even larger than 18% around the selected AF sensor. Exposure still changes heavily when letting the AF-ON button off after recomposing. In this setting AF lock mustn´t have anything to do with exposure, right??

The function is called "AF lock only" in the EN manual. The description is: "Focus locks while the AF-ON button is pressed". Nothing about exposure here.
