Why is it so hard for everyone to
In reply to DanielBme, Feb 5, 2013

Why is it so hard for people to realize that there are trade-offs for each system, FF and m43?  Want an ultra compact system with great fast lenses?  Go m43.  Want to have that ultra shallow DOF?  Go FF or larger.  I have a D800 with a 200mm f/2 that I love.  If I didn't have that lens I would totally go m43 as it is a beast but when I want that look that only the 200mm f/2 can get, it's not something you can get with any other lens.  There is a difference for me than a 200mm f/2.8 or a 200mm f/4 and that's why it stays.

I'm surprised that there is so much confusion regarding the pros and cons of each system.  m43 isn't going to take over DSLRs, there's always going to be a niche there.  I would say the vast majority of people would do better with a m43 system though over a DSLR.  It's all about going with the tools that let you produce the images you are looking to get.
