I don't believe anyone should be concerned about contacts giving trouble through constant removal and reattachment of the battery grip. On any interchangeable lens camera there are multiple contacts forming the interface between the lens and the camera body. There are eleven on the Olympus. How many hundreds of times does a camera have its lens changed during its lifetime. If electrical contacts on accessories or the camera gave trouble through use, the manufacturers would struggle to sell an interchangeable lens camera or any of its accessories. There's absolutely no logic in being reluctant to removing the battery grip through some misplaced fear of wearing out the contacts.
