The E-PM2 uses a less powerful processor, and is able to show peaking in the Key Line art filter. It doesn't seem that difficult to accomplish via software.

I can't see why Panasonic thinks their processor can't do it.

I guess maybe it has something to do with the keyline filter just blanket processing the whole image, whereas peaking only picks out parts and leaves the rest of the image undisturbed.

If it really is a case of processing power then supposidly the lowest end sony is more powerful... hell, even the GXR has peaking. For that reason I'm not sure I believe it is just down to processing power. The GH3 can shoot at 1080p60? and with an All-I codec? I don't know the exact specs of the GXR but I'm certain it can't produce near that level of video quality.

Looking at panasonics other products they clearly know how to do peaking.
