OS is always lost in these conversions, because the signals and/or cabling differ between Sigma and Canon. Its a hit with AF, AE, AA, but not OS.
Not necessarily. I have a Sigma 80-400 lens that was originally SA mount, I converted it to EF mount and the OS works fine with all my Canon bodies. Apparently Canon IS lenses do not stabilize at all with Sigma bodies when converted to SA mount though.
At any rate, I'm only doing this to a 1.4x TC with the intent of using my Canon 70-200 f/4L and 135 f/2L lenses.
