Strange Epson 3800 problem

I have had a 3800 for over 4 years and have never had a real problem at all. I do a nozzle check before printing and don't think I have had to do a head cleaning over 6-8 times.

I have always used Epson inks. Last Dec I ran our of ink in one cartridge and replaced with a new Epson one. Fault light came on and suggested service. I called Epson and tech said I had a bad cartridge and sent me a new one that I received two days later.

Your problem does seem unusual. I don't recall seeing that problem on any forum where they were using oem cartridges.

Good luck. With repair costs being what they are it might be better to just get a 3880. I don't know if that would be true in Germany however.
