Is 7d focusing systems that complicated?

The 7D AF can be complex when needed or simple when not. Most of the complexity comes into play when shooting action, such as birds in flight (BIF); choosing the best settings for action shots is a pretty painstaking process.

But for shooting landscapes, portraits and other non-action shots (or shooting large or slowly moving targets) the AF is no more complicated to use than any other Canon DSLR.
