I actually was wondering about the quality of Sony/old Minolta lenses compared to Canon & Nikon. I know that their higher end lines (i.e. Canon's "L" lenses) are better than anything Sony makes, but I was thinking that perhaps Sony's lenses meet the quality of Canikon's other lens lines (entry-level/amateur). Wonder if you could answer this, would the lenses that fit Canikon's APS-C sensor cameras also fit their full frame dslr's if a person moves up?

Sony's G & Zeiss lenses are on a par with Canon's L.

Canon's APS-C lenses will not work on their FF bodies.

Nikon & Sony APS-C lenses do work on their respective FF bodies but the body automatically switches to crop mode to match the lens.
