How often do you do creative cropping and sub-cropping (crops of crops)? ALL THE TIME!

The question does not refer to birding, macro and sport photography where crop is being used to extend reach, but to situations when we have full control of the composition and plenty of time to consider it.

I myself hardly ever crop ending up with images of the same boring dimensions. It is an old habit instilled in my photography school days when teachers insisted on seeing the black borders of the negative's clear area on every print submitted to make sure that our compositions were made in the field through the viewfinder.

This philosophy of putting great emphasis on examining scenes and capturing them properly remained with me till today, becoming the most essential creative step in my photography. Aside from that, my boredom with perfectly composed pictures allows me to accept more easily my 'flawed' images without an immediate urge to reconstruct them.

especially if I've shot a flawless composition to begin with, that is multi-subcroppable (think in terms of natural golden ratio proportions)... which I've a natural eye for. if you get your first composition perfect... golden... the rest is just a variational sub-crop of the original (fully balanced in many ways more than you expected)

In my estimation I crop (always very mildly) one out of any 200 images I select to work on, putting it at an average of 0.5%. So, how often do you crop?
