retouching trouble

I got this photo from a friend that asked me to see if I can do anything to it to make it look like it did 25 years ago. I'm having trouble finding the right white balance and when I do, it seems the original photograph has a lot of yellow "colored in" on everybody's neck, on the mom's glasses, and at some spots on a few faces. Would love to see what you all can do with it or if you can tell me how to get it look like it did!
