Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L II vs ???

Hello,

I have been researching cameras for several months now and think I have finally decided on the Canon 6D. My next task is to figure out what lenses to start out with. The EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L II sounds like the real deal, however, I can get the 28mm f/1.8, 35mm f/2 and 85mm f/1.8 for about $1000 less than the 24-70mm. I am looking for opinions on what I might be missing if I go with the three lenses rather than the L zoom. Or maybe what I might be gaining. Thank you.
