Same here. Currently I see little options for a move to FX only. MY 80-200 would be too short, so I probably would fancy something like a 100-300 F4 to replace it. The 300 2.8 would need to be replaced with a 400mm (I sometimes already use a 1.7TC on the 300mm with DX, so I need the reach). Considering this investment it would be time to consider switching systems in the process. (the 100-400L would make a strong point for a move to Canon)

Should Nikon commit to semi-pro DX, they could proabably sell 2 bodies (1 DX + 1FX) and some lenses to me in addition to all the stuff I already have.

Same here.  I'd buy a DX D400 and then consider an FX choice for non-sports photography.  But for now, I'm not sure if Nikon is going to support me so I've frozen my purchases until I have a clearer direction for what's happening in the DX product line.  I think they're blowing it by dragging this out (or perhaps even abandoning it).
