Help with focusing on the RX1

1. Close up shots (eg food)

I have problem getting the whole object in focus on close up shots. So usually I have to take the camera back a bit. Do I need to use smaller apeture?



2. Auto Focusing points

How do I get more focusing points and focus the whole picture instead of just a single object?
