Slow startup time and picture taking on NEX-5R

Hi all,
I recently got a NEX-5R with the kit 18-55mm lens and I love the camera. However, comparing it to the NEX-5 and 5N, I notice an inconsistent startup delay of 3 seconds or more. A cold start seems to be faster than if I turn the camera off and a little while later turn it back on. I haven't actually timed it, but seems as bad as 5 seconds sometimes. This is worse than some point & shoot cameras I owned. Is this normal? When the camera turns off to save power, turning it back on with the shutter button seems to take forever sometimes and I've missed some great shots due to being 1 or 2 seconds too late.
Also, when the camera is set to single shot with 2 second review, pressing the shutter button during the review doesn't let me take another picture. On other cameras like the NEX-5N it would interrupt the preview and let you take another picture much sooner. Is this an intended "improvement"?
What is the best way to voice these concerns to Sony? I don't know if they'd improve the startup performance by much with a firmware update (although that would be awesome), I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to get the 5N behaviour back that lets you take pictures faster.
I like seeing a review of the picture, but taking a picture faster afterwards is more important for me. Going continuous seems to do the trick, but the camera is so fast that sometimes I take more than one photo as I am not in a mental "continuous mode".
