Hi Asahi Man,

I understand the issue you're raising with that question. ie Do they offer a Pentax take on the DSLR that's in fact similar to their competitors, or something distinctly different?

I inferred in my post that the K5 was a camera that I respect and whose features I would like to see reflected in an FF model. In the K5 and its latest variants, there is already a combination of features that Pentax have created - small size, robust build, WR, IBIS, DR and a great feature set to name a few. And let's not omit mentioning a system with some great lenses. The K5's have been successful. Does a Pentax FF DSLR need to offer something different from that formula?

I suppose that I might be thinking along too traditional lines and not thinking "outside the box". Perhaps Pentax are thinking more widely than a FF DSLR. The very obvious gap in the market is FF mirrorless. There's only Leica and the Sony RX1. There's no small AF FF mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses. Someone is going to fill that vacuum, but I thought Pentax had ruled that one out?
