the whole triad: LR4, DXO & Capture One are general purpose packages. In contrast, by dedicated NRs I've meant of course the likes of Topaz DeNoise or Neat Image (two clear leaders in a pack of similar SW solutions). But, yes... you (and reviewers) are right concerning difficulty in processing color noise - the luminance one is quite a lot easier to cope with.
