They say they are iTTL compatible, so is this the same thing or does it just mean that TTL exposure works, they don't mention CLS in their blurb so I am not 'sure' that they will work wirelessly (off-camera) with automatic exposure.

Yes the right ones will work like that, they can receive TTL signal for CLS. But only in slave mode no master.

Yongnuo YN500EX, YN560EX, YN565EX, YN568EX

I don't kaow about the Nissin but Yongnuo is so good that I would forget everything else.

I suggest the 560EX as s slave flash only about $100 and great!!!

I recommend YN568EX. It has hss mode and it will sync shutter speed of 1/8000s.
