I'm with you on this. I don't have a bunch of high dollar gear, and I'm not too much into static but perfectly exposed and composed shots. What it all comes down to is shooting what I like. And the only person I really have to satisfy is myself. Praise from others is nice to get, but usually I post pics up on this and other sites to get creative and helpful comments. As long as one is happy with what they produce, they should be satisfied.
