Some older cameras can also use an electronic shutter at lower resolutions. For example the GH2 when shooting a 40fps burst. I think the G3 may also have this capability.
Yes. The G3 can do 4MP electronic shutter pics. It's however essentially a video type operation and different from what can be done with the G5/GH3.
The GX1 also has this electronic shutter feature for 4mp 20fps bursts.
