ARW files from RX100 into Apple Aperture 3.4.3

I have just upgraded to Mountain Lion and Aperture 3.4.3. ARW files from RX100 come into Quick View fine in Aperture. Change the view to "non Quick view" and get "Unsupported image format" message.
Have I wasted my £/$ ? Help please.
