A Nikon D lens needs a camera with a motor in the body to AF. The designation AF-S tells you a lens has a motor and can AF on a body without a motor.
A Nikon G lens has no aperture ring.
In the case of the 60mm f2.8 Micro the G version has AF-S. Note for the future that not all G lenses has AF-S.

If you can use either on your camera with AF then either are great lenses. Although they have different optical designs they are both excellent performers.
