$1400 may be a bitter pill to swallow.  But looked at another way,  when I recently went to Europe the airlines were extremely strict about weight (as they tend to be these days), wanting to charge me $100 to every bag over a certain weight.  My Lowepro backpack with the D800, 28-50-85 1.8G, and 70-200 f4 VR was 8.9 kg (19.6 lb) just under their weight restrictions of 10 kg.  With any of the 70/80-200 2.8 lenses I might not have been so fortunate!
