Cannot access folders/files after reinstall

Hi,

In the end it did turnout to be an ownership problem. However solving it was more time consuming than I was led to believe. Even though I ticked all the boxes to include all files and folders just changing the whole drive did not solve the problem. I had to tackle all the folders individually. Fortunately there were not many folders that I wanted to keep.

More importantly I was able to recover the Lightroom catalogue folder. Having installed this in the correct place on C drive LR now displays the majority of my images though not all.

I was wondering if I reinstalled LR whether it would now pick up ALL the images. I did not have any photos on the defective drive and the other drives were unaffected by the issue so all images are in their original positions.

Is there any other way to find the lost images?
