Canon 50mm f/1.8 II lens with the 7D

The 50 f/1.8 II is an amazing lens at the price. Construction won't win high praise but images will be fine. A must have lens, even if you seldom use it.

If the 70-300 IS is your only 7D lens, the current Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II makes a good companion, and also a relative bargain ($189 at Amazon).
