Yea, his issue has nothing to do with CCD vs CMOS and absolutely nothing to do with the 35/1.4G lens (which is actually a pretty laid back and neutral lens - vastly different than the more pronounced "imprint" or "character" of many of the modern "G" lenses, like, say, a 14-24, 24-70 or 85/1.4G, all of which have a more definite personality). His "issue" (if you can call it that) is more with the fact that the Fuji and older Nikons used different in-camera methods for controlling the tone curve and color response than the newer cameras picture control system, and the skin tones simply look different at the default settings. Nothing at all to do with the lens or type of sensor used in any way. Not saying one way is better than the other, more that it's not the lenses (or sensor architectures) fault.
