Personally, I have never, ever, seen a XX-300mm zoom which compared well to a dedicated 300mm prime (200mm and below is close enough, or even superior, with modern zooms). I doubt that a FF camera will compare well with the IQ of the upcoming 150/2.8 with a standard zoom.
