Sony a99 Video Questions

Hi,

I specialize in photographing water reflections underwater and above water. I recently decided to start videoing  the reflections too, so I went and shot some video of a “water on fire” reflection using my Sony a99 and Sony Nex7. When I got back home I was surprised at what I saw. The footage that looked amazing through the back of the camera screens and a portable exterior LCD screen (via the hdmi out) now looked amazingly full of what I think is a compression problem on my laptop (the footage looks pixilated).  I rendered around 1 minute of the footage and uploaded it to YouTube.

The footage uploaded is of the a99 but it looks as bad as the Nex7 video. Does anybody have an idea if this would be solved using a Ninja 2 via the Sony a99 clean HDMI output? I would like to be able to shoot this type of videos on my a99 without any problems but would hate to spend $995 on the Ninja 2 and have the same results.

I shot the video using the highest a99 and nex7 settings. 1/125, F4, ISO 200, 59.940 fps progressive, 1920x1080. The footage looks as lousy when I look at the original files on Playmemories home (PMB) as it does on the Sony Vegas preview screen as it does after rendering using 3 different players and on YouTube. I wound up with 137 useless clips and 7 hours of wasted time! I wonder if it is impossible to shoot this type of subject due to its high color and movement changing speeds even using a Ninja 2?

I rendered it on Vegas 11 using wmv V11 , video smoothness 100 (sharpest) Frame rate 59.94, bit rate Internet/lan 8m, but it looks as bad as the original footage.

I had seen this problem before using my Sony a55 shooting a fast flowing waterfall in the Amazon 2 years ago but thought it was a “camera video codec error”  now I see that videoing fast flowing water does have some issues.

Hope somebody can help me...
