Help with Lens choice for completing my kit

Thanks for the feedback guy's.

I've heard the same rumblings about a possible 17-40 replacement by Canon.  My plan to "rent" at the wide end might be the way to go (at least for the short term).  I really only use the wide end when traveling and being the working "stiff" that I am, I'm lucky if I get a couple of vacations per year.

So, I may turn my focus (so to speak) to adding a fast mid-range lens.  The Sigma 35 1.4 and the Canon 35 2.0 IS are both compelling!
