I seriously doubt Canon or Nikon are going to try to sell less-than-half-frame cameras for prices in excess of FF cameras, because the market for that is already too small and isn't exactly going to get any bigger. I think you're more likely to see the "top line" APS-C cameras moving down market as entry level FF cameras get less expensive, with more options offered in FF. You haven't seen Nikon make an integrated grip APS-C body since the D3 was introduced, have you? This is just the continuation of that trend of APS-C slowly moving down market as FF becomes more affordable.
