New Printer Replacing Epson 3880?

The "standard" replacement cycle is already longer for the time being:

3800 September 2006

3880 September 2009

3900 nothing in September 2012

So my guess is somewhere this year, might be again in September.

I had some years the 3800 and I liked almost everything about it. I got it sold though because I couldn't stand for switching between blacks meaning extra roundtrip time + extra ink cost kept the experimenting between matte-glossy paper almost to minimum. I don't care so much about the colorset changes but rather would see this one sorted out. Even if it takes slight cost of being little bit bigger.
